Terms of Use
Microsoft Teams is available to faculty and staff. Microsoft Teams is part of your Office 365 Account. Office 365 accounts are automatically established for each employee when hired by the university. When you stop working at George Mason University, you will no longer be able to access your Office 365 employee account. Students, Retirees, and Generic Accounts are not eligible for this service.
For security reasons, as part of the Office 365 Suite, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is required when accessing this service. See 2FA for Office 365 Tips.

How to Access
On the Web
Access MS Teams through the application launcher on your Mason Office 365 account at http://mso365.gmu.edu via supported browsers.
On Your Desktop: Download the MS Teams App
Once ITS processes your request, we recommend using the MS Teams desktop application for full functionality. The application is available for direct download from within the MS Teams Web Application or at https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app.
Download the Mobile App
Take MS Teams on the go with the MS Teams mobile app for Apple iOS or Android from your mobile device’s app store or click the following link from a browser on your mobile device: https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app.
Sign In
Once you install the app, you will sign in to the application using your Mason NetID, Patriot Pass Password, and Duo Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Getting Help
ITS may provide these software applications via Software Center, JAMF, or other endpoint management systems. ITS staff may assist users in installing the application for supported operating systems. ITS staff have not necessarily received training on the application and do not support the functional operation of the application but will refer users to self-support sites, Mason instructors, vendors, or departmental support when known.
