Research Administration Management Portal (RAMP) System

RAMP is an integrated research web-based system to support Mason’s growing research enterprise. This system reduces duplication of efforts and better supports faculty. It allows users to capture research-related data in one system improving reporting and data-driven decision-making. RAMP helps improve compliance with sponsor regulations and requirements through streamlined workflow and an automated reminder system.

How We Can Help

For assistance with the following, select the Request Help button. Modules within RAMP include:

  • Grants and Agreements: streamline the pre-award and post-award process through automation of proposal submission, award and agreement management, system-to-system submissions, integrated compliance, etc.
  • Conflict of Interest (COI): centralizes financial interest and outside activity disclosures to streamline the reporting process for disclosers and increase institutional compliance.
  • Safety: improves collaboration between investigators, safety staff, safety officers, and committee members through all safety activities from new protocols to amendments to continuing reviews.
  • Future modules include Institutional Review Board (IRB), Effort Reporting (Payroll Certification), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and Export Control.
