How We Can Help

For assistance with any of the following, select the "Click here to Request Integration Services" button below or at the top right of this screen.

1. New Integration Request or Data Exchange (Charges Apply)

Description

Request a new integration between a university system, vendor application, or third-party service. ITS will assess requirements, recommend an implementation approach, and coordinate design, development, testing and deployment activities as appropriate. This service may include file exchanges, APIs, data synchronization, data migrations, or automated business processes. There will be a cost associated with this request.

Examples

  • Connect a new vendor application to Banner, Canvas, Salesforce Education Cloud, or another university platform.
  • Implement a new automated data feed.
  • Automate a manual data exchange process.
  • Implement a new API-based integration.
  • Support data migration or implementation activities.

2. Change to an Existing Integration

Description

Request a modification to an existing integration, API, workflow, or automated data exchange. Requests are reviewed to determine complexity and whether additional assessment or project planning is required. The request can be expedited by engaging our MSP for a charge.

Examples

  • Add new fields to an existing data feed.
  • Update business rules or mappings.
  • Update endpoints, certificates, or security configurations.
  • Update schedules or notifications.
  • Support application or vendor changes affecting integrations.

3. Integration Consultation and Feasibility

Description

Request ITS assistance to evaluate an integration need prior to implementation. ITS will review available options, dependencies, risks, technical feasibility, and provide recommendations for the next steps.

Examples

  • Assess a new vendor solution.
  • Review integration options during procurement.
  • Assess available APIs and data exchange methods.
  • Develop preliminary effort estimates (e.g. Level of Effort (LOE)).
  • Identify implementation considerations and dependencies.

4. Report a Problem

Description

Report an issue with an existing integration, data feed, API, or automated data exchange. ITS will investigate the issue, coordinate with vendors or support teams as needed, restore service when possible, and document corrective actions.

Examples

  • Scheduled data feed did not run.
  • Data is missing or incorrect.
  • The file was not delivered.
  • An integration-related operational issue is impacting business operations.
  • A system-to-system communication failure.
