ResNet, provided by Apogee, is a new and improved wired and Wi-Fi system located in the residence halls (including some classrooms, offices, and other services located inside them). Both wired and wireless networks require authentication or device registration before network access is allowed.
ResNet serves as an “at home” experience with high-speed internet and 24/7 support, allowing individuals to connect up to 15 devices – including phones, gaming devices, printers, Amazon Echo, and much more.
Getting This Service
Go to gmu.apogee.us to reach the portal on your computer to sign in.
Non-resident faculty, staff, and students should connect to eduroam in Residence Halls.
Mobile App
ResNet even offers a mobile app that provides users notifications on Wi-Fi outages and updates, as well as quick access to support.
Go to the Apple or Google store to download the app and type Apogee ResNet into the app search or scan the QR code below and go directly to the app store.
Once you have downloaded the app, select George Mason University, and sign in using your existing login.
Other Networks
The wired network is available at every active data jack in student rooms and public spaces in the residence halls. Connect to an active jack and open a web browser for captive portal authentication. Registered devices and those configured for 802.1x authentication will authenticate and access the wired network automatically.
The eduroam Wi-Fi network is also available throughout the residence halls.
