Human Resources Technology Information Requests

For assistance with any of the following, select the Request Information button.

  • Requesting Banner HR Access (Formerly the Banner Access Request form)
  • Reporting an issue with the system
  • Requesting specific data downloads/uploads (Usually requested by Payroll/Benefits or HR)

Getting This Service

  • All requests must be approved by the Data Steward for HR (Associate Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer).
  • Please allow 3-5 business days following approval for request to be processed. HR will contact Requestor with estimated completion date, clarifying questions, and when the requested data is ready.
  • No information will be provided for the purpose of mailings of a non-business nature. Example: requests from clubs to identify segments of the George Mason population.
  • Any request for labels for the purpose of questionnaires or surveys concerning human subjects must be approved by the Institutional Review Board(IRB). This approval must be obtained before the data request can be fulfilled. Approval granted by the HSRB does not automatically assure release of the data. Please forward a copy of the approval to hrts@gmu.edu or via campus mail, MSN 3C3.
  • Information may not be disclosed, made available, or otherwise used for purposes other than specified in the request form, including but not limited to selling or redistribution of the data.
  • Violations of the terms of agreement will constitute misuse of confidential personnel information

Availability

Training

Please note that student data is covered by FERPA regulations. This includes Graduate Assistants, Student Wages, and Work Study employees. Requestor’s FERPA training status will be confirmed on MasonLEAPS before HRTS will fulfill any request for student data.
