RAMP is an integrated research web-based system to support Mason’s growing research enterprise and research administration processes. This system reduces duplication of efforts and better supports faculty. It captures research-related data in one system improving reporting and data-driven decision-making. RAMP helps improve compliance with sponsor regulations and requirements through smartforms, streamlined workflows, and an automated notification system.
How We Can Help
For assistance with any of the following RAMP modules, select the Request Help button:
- Grants: Supports both pre-award and post-award activities for funding proposal submission and award management.
- Agreements: Supports both funded and unfunded agreement activities for agreement management and integrated Docusign for signature routing.
- Conflict of Interest (COI) / Conflict of Commitment (COC): Supports the official submission of all financial interest and outside activity disclosures, waivers, and management plans.
- Safety: Supports all safety activities including new protocols, amendments, and continuing reviews.
- Institutional Review Board (IRB): Supports all IRB activities from new protocols to amendments.
- Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC): Supports all IACUC activities from new protocols to amendments.
- Payroll Certification: Supports the official submission of certifying all effort on federally sponsored projects.
Additional Assistance Options:
- Update Role/Access in RAMP: Request to update a user’s Role or Access in RAMP. The attached spreadsheet (Update or Request New RAMP Access) must be completed and attached to the ticket if this request type is selected.
- New Agency Creation: Request a new Agency be added to Banner for selection in the sponsor picklist for RAMP. The attached form (Request for New Agency Creation) must be completed and attached to the ticket if this request type is selected.
- Training Support: Request assistance with related training materials available in MasonLEAPS and on the RAMP and OSP websites; or request system training (via MS Teams).

Access
Anyone with a Mason login and password may access RAMP. The actions and/or responsibilities of that user will depend on system security roles assigned in RAMP, as well as the specific role on a record (PI, Study Team, Primary Contact, etc.).
